“I have worked for the Catholic Cemeteries Association as a family counselor for almost a year now. I received a bachelor’s degree in marketing and a minor in management and was hired right out of college. I never thought I would feel so welcomed by a company especially, being a new employee. Everyone was very helpful in guiding me through this new career path I choose. I feel blessed that I am able to help people through such a tough and stressful time in their lives. Starting right out of college I have a lot of flexibility to plan my day-to-day responsibilities to help these families. This career gives you many rewarding experiences. I am very happy to call the Catholic Cemeteries Association my career in life.”
“I have been working for The Catholic Cemeteries Association for a little over a year now. During this time, I have had the chance to come across not only great co-workers but great families as well. The work environment is very friendly and professional, which helps adapt to the job responsibilities more quickly. Everyone is very helpful and has a team first attitude. Being a Youth Minister I have found this job to be a Ministry as well, because of all the great people you get to encounter and help on an everyday basis. I did not realize the importance of Catholic Cemeteries in helping families until I started to work here, and it is a privilege to be someone that families can trust. It is a unique place to work and I mean that in the greatest respect. I have cherished the time I have been at The Catholic Cemeteries Association not only from the people I have met, but being someone that can help others is a very rewarding experience.”
“I have worked for The Catholic Cemeteries Association for almost four years. This is one of the first times that I can say, I love my job! I went to college to become a missionary, and now by actively engaging in the Corporal Work of Mercy of the Church, I feel I am fulfilling my missionary call. I am able to spread the love of Christ each day. I have the opportunity to serve and care for others on the worst day of their lives, hear life stories of amazing people and hopefully make their time as pleasant as possible during difficult circumstances.
I was welcomed by everyone and they continue to guide and support me as I develop my position into a career. I am proud to help people understand what it means to take care of their final arrangements. I never thought I would find a career where I could make a decent living by helping others. It is an honor to work for The Catholic Cemeteries Association of the Diocese of Pittsburgh.”
“For the past 25 years, I have counseled families about pre-need planning for The Catholic Cemeteries Association. Each day presents various challenges as well as rewarding opportunities. I admire the Association's dedication to serve each family to the best of its ability. There is a great work atmosphere with many dedicated employees. My position allows me to have a flexible schedule so I am able to have full-time employment but still enjoy quality personal time.”
“I have worked for The Catholic Cemeteries Association since 2007. During this time, I have had the opportunity to advance based on my performance, not time on the job and my income potential is only limited by my efforts. I started as a memorial sales counselor and was then promoted to sales trainer. Later, I was promoted to an associate manager. These positions have given me the opportunity to hire and train outstanding people. The Catholic Cemeteries Association has not only supported my development but the development of those deserving around me. Having worked for major U.S. corporations for over 25 years, I have found the atmosphere at The Catholic Cemeteries Association refreshing.”
